This week I finished up a project for Neways, an interesting project in that it mixes footage shot by someone else on location in China, footage I shot myself (see image below) and stock footage bought from several sources with some slight animation.

Experimenting with the HyperDeck Shuttle
So, I shot a simple scene this evening: a sparkler, my Sony PMW-EX1 (overcranked to 60fps), and the Shuttle. The differences are pretty pronounced, there’s slightly more detail, less noise and less compression artifacts in the uncompressed footage. It’s also pretty huge, see previous post.
